Below are common installation errors and/or issues with regulators

 

(SENSUS TECHNOLOGY) Model 243-8, 243-12, 243-RPC (A/B)

Description: Regulator not holding downstream pressure or leaking from vent.

Most common cause of model 243 regular failure is the installation of the tetraseal o-ring inside the regulator body. When installing the model 243 body o-ring place the o-ring in the cavity of the body as seen below. Do not install o-ring onto the regulator diaphragm as shown in the top picture.
